Baker Street Consulting was founded in 2022 by Neil Watson when he recognized the need for a less specialized, more integrated and holistic consulting experience. In a world full of experts that are often brought in to offer depth, not breadth and attempt to force fit half-tried and half-true solutions onto and not into a company, Neil sought to create a firm that would prioritize using both qualitative and quantitative data to drive sensible solutions for firms.
Professor Neil Watson brings decades of experience leading teams and projects for businesses ranging from startups to Fortune 500s including companies like Adidas, TaylorMade Golf, Tillamook Creamery, Microsoft, and TED. His time at Adidas included several years in Global Marketing at their HQ in Germany and his roles in consumer insights and strategy at Tillamook came during its meteoric rise as one of the US's fastest growing CPG brands.
In 2023, Neil joined Ave Maria University as director of marketing and was an inaugural Fellow in The Institute at AMU teaching business. He now teaches at Hillsdale College in the faculty of Economics, Business, and Accounting.
Prof. Watson continues to lead Baker Street Consulting while also serving as subject-matter expert to teams at McKinsey, BCG, and Bain & Co.
Prof. Watson holds a BS in business (entrepreneurship) and an MS in business analysis from Catholic University of America in DC. He is a Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP) through the BRM Institute.

The name for Baker Street Consulting is rather elementary, if you'll forgive the pun. A long-time fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories, it was a natural fit to allude to the famous detective for a firm led by a Watson and dedicated to elementary excellence.
The Baker Street Consulting logo is based on the mathematical and logical sign for "therefore" or "ergo". The three triangular dots placed in an upright triangle indicates the conclusion or logical consequence of the preceding information. As a firm that prides itself on using data to make excellence feel elementary, Baker Street Consulting strives to solve problems using evidence and information that lead to ambitious, achievable results.
